What amyris smells like
Amyris is a soft, slightly sweet wood, sometimes called West Indian sandalwood. It is smooth and a little balsamic, never sharp or smoky. You rarely notice it on its own. What you notice is that the scent lasts longer and feels warmer. Under santal and sandalwood it makes things creamy. Under lilac and lily of the valley it keeps a floral from turning thin or soapy. Good for anyone who likes warmth without a heavy woody scent.
Common questions
What does amyris smell like?
A soft, warm, faintly sweet wood. Close to sandalwood but lighter, with no smoke.
What pairs well with amyris?
Sandalwood, santal and coconut on the woody side. Lilac, honeysuckle and powder on the floral side.
Which room suits it?
Bedrooms and living rooms. It is warm and low key, so it works as an everyday scent rather than a statement one.
Is it a good gift?
Yes. Soft woods are an easy gift because they are warm without being sweet, and they suit any time of year.
