Candles that open on bergamot. It is the citrus in Earl Grey tea, and it does the same job here, which is to give a blend a clean lift without the sweetness of orange. All are hand-poured in small batches in Holland, Michigan with 100% soy wax and a lead free cotton wick, and the Luxury Coconut Soy candles use a coconut soy blend.

What bergamot smells like
Bergamot is citrus with an edge. Lemon brightness, a slight bitterness like grapefruit pith, and a soft floral tone underneath that keeps it from smelling like a cleaning product. It sits at the top of a blend and burns off first, handing over to whatever is underneath. That is why you find it over green tea in Matcha + Citrus Peel, over smoke in Cabin Life and over leather and bourbon in Michigan. It suits anyone who wants fresh without sweet.
