What floral candles smell like
Floral covers a lot of ground, so it helps to know which kind you want. Rose, peony and magnolia are the lush ones, full and a little sweet. Lily of the valley, freesia and hibiscus are lighter and closer to green stems and garden air. Powdery florals like violet sit soft and almost dusty. In this collection the flowers are usually lifted by citrus or greenery and grounded by amber, musk or cedar, which keeps them from smelling like perfume counter samples. Good for bedrooms, spring and anyone who wants a room to feel soft.
Common questions
Are floral candles too strong?
Not these. Most are cut with greenery, citrus or musk, so they read soft rather than heavy or perfumed.
Which floral should I start with?
Magnolia & Peony if you want a real bouquet, Lily of the Valley if you want something light and green.
Which room suits a floral candle?
Bedrooms, bathrooms and entryways. They are best in spring and summer, or any time a room feels stale.
How long do they burn?
Most are 7 oz and burn 60 or more hours. A 5 oz burns 50 or more and a 10 oz burns 80 or more.
