Lemon Peel Scented Candles

Nine hand-poured candles built around lemon peel and bright citrus. Some are pure zest, some pair the peel with other fruit, and a few use it as a small lift over green or woody notes. All are poured in small batches in Holland, Michigan with 100% soy wax, a lead free cotton wick and phthalate-free fragrance oil.

What lemon peel smells like

Lemon peel is sharper and more aromatic than lemon juice. It is the oil that sprays out when you twist a rind, bright and slightly bitter with a green edge underneath. That bitterness is what keeps it from smelling like a cleaning product. Across these candles it opens the blend and then gives way to musk, cedar or vetiver, which is why they stay bright without turning thin. Best in the morning, in the kitchen, and any time you want a room to feel awake.
